Has anyone made the updates available on cd for a small fee?

Linux updates are available for $1.99,
Windows sent a free cd with their most recent large update to XP.
I was able to update Netscape with a cd. I don't remember the price, but it was reasonable.

In the rural area where I live, DSL is not yet available, and the phone line is unreliable. The estimated download time for build 800 is 90 minutes if all goes well. The chances of the line staying connected for that long are zero.

Agreed. I'm in a similar position and use GetRight 5.2d without a problem. Just don't use accelerated (segmented) downloading as Acronis' server doesn't like it!!

    Regards
