How to continue getting free security updates for Windows XP until 2019

At the beginning of April Microsoft ended support for Windows XP. Regular users of this operating system, cannot download any updates or patches the second month already. Betanews server, however, now discovered a simple trick how Windows XP can be updated again.

This sounds like a bad idea. And probably against TOS.

High risk, low reward. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

With support terminated, their TOS means nothing. There is no service, therefore there are no terms. The user is free to alter or update their systems as they see fit. That said, MS will do everything that they can to make auto-updating impossible. Those who want to stay with XP should expect to be updating it manually. There will be some risks but Microsofts own updates have been risky at times. Communities like those at MSFN will be the safest bets, just like they have for Win98, ME, and 2K.
