Updates for the .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2, the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2, or the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 may not correctly update files even when installation of the update succeeds

When you install certain updates for the .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2, the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2, or the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, the update may install successfully. However, files may not be updated. Therefore, the update may be reoffered on Windows Update.

I don't understand if this is a "silent" general bug that anyone that has installed those .NET updates has, or if it shows itself proposing everytime the same old updates for .NET.
In short words if one is affected by this bug only in case he sees "reoffering Windows updates" of that kind again and again and again.

According to the bottom of the OP link this only affects Windows Server 2003 x86/x64 editions and XP Professional x64 Edition.
