Just an FYI to the developers: I am using Avira Premium Security Suite 10. I just tried to browse to the page linked in the previous post and received the dreaded Website Blocked page from Avira. Clicking on the link on that page for the reason why the site was blocked came back with "The website you have attempted to access is a known fraudulent website" etc, etc.

Although I'm sure that the Spyshelter site is fine, just thought I would let you guys know.

What do you guys select for certified applications, guest for example, when you're testing, what do you've it set to?

default settings. i didnt change any settings when testing SS
Because some commerical keylogger is signed.

For example v3.52 ask for prevx cause ss trustedlist hasnt got it
    they added v3.53

But if some commercial keyloggers are signed, wouldn't that mean that they'll go right through? o_O

if keylogger has signed code, SS will alert you. There is no problem.
SS already has Trustedlist, it is look like zemana white list technology. it wont show too much alert

Zemana added this feature ( look at new version) their software because some commerical keylooger can bypass it.

    May I ask one thing?

Who or what company is behind spyshelter? Their website doesn't list anything. No contact information at all. There is contact form and email/skype address. That's it.

It's not credible for security product company to be totally backgroundless. Software like this just doesn't pop out of nowhere (if it's real).

If you are going to buy it, wouldn't you at least like to know from whom you are buying it?

if i test same as ss with zemana, it can be comparative

MRG tested them but it is not up the date, SS updated twice after the test, and now it has SSl logger protection and ZELTR cant bypass it.

on MRG test, there is only one real keylogger and Zemana failed. and they tested all leak test using ZELTR, it is not right for me.

SS protection is improved, if mrg can retest probably SS will get perfect score.

Behind SpyShelter is the Polish company Datpol, which is into Hardware and Software Keylogger business.

just to add my 2 cents in this thread I agree with everything Peter2150 has said. Its just not worth spending the money and having another app running such as SpyShelter when there are far better things like Sandboxie which covers more areas.

If it's not a polish company than where is it.

To anyone who thinks there is no info on the company doesn't matter. Stop and really think. How did you buy it. Who are you sending financial info to, and who is getting the money? Who is getting your credit card info?

That should be on heck of a concern when you are buying a program that protects privacy.

Also I have yet to see anything her that makes me think it's worth real money no less the load on my computer.

    Pete
