I would look at these things if it were me.

Make sure the update servers are set to automatic in the setup options of update.
Also, make sure a firewall is not blocking connections.

When does your License run out?

When you click on Update Now, what happens?

    Cheers :D

It's obvious I suppose, but something changed somewhere. :) Your connection, settings, or something else.
You could try pinging the update servers and see if you get a response.

Open the command prompt in Xp. See screenshot. My first ping was incorrect.

Hi ... What I have done was uninstall and reinstall NOD32 , I did follow that set up from your sticky to the exact

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=37509

Might of that been the error ? Maybe there was a part of the set up that I shouldn't of done ? I did ping eset and I did get a response ... Because I reinstall NOD32 I have now which I believe is the latest definitions 1.1181 ( 20050728 )

Blackspear I am using cable for the internet and from your sticky in how to set up NOD32 is there a part that I shouldn't check off ? Or shouldn't apply to cable

    Thanks

One last thing if you don't mind in post number 70 there is 2 with the " System " check off by mistake I remove the bottom one , If you could explain as to what that was ? So I can readd it back , I was setting up a scan setting and made a error in the set up part so I thought I would just remove it but I remove the wrong one , I remove by mistake the last one that is shown in post number 70 , its a system something , not sure what it is , Could you please explain what that was , Thanks

Hi ... by default there is 3 check off , One is Regular and 2 with the name system , Ok well I deleted one of the system , The one I still have has this info below

    Task :
NOD32 Kernel – System startup file check

    Scheduled :
Successful update of the virus signature database ( At maximum every 24 hours )

In case it fails to be performed at scheduled time:

    Special task settings
    Run system check after update

Now by this info could someone tell me what the other one was , Thanks
