update problem

Hi,
Im trying Spywareblaster and Spywareguard (latest versions - only downloaded today) and am having a hiccup with the update feature of Spywareguard. I have both programs on both my laptop and my desktop PC, which are connected to broadband through the same router. Both programs update features work on the desktop PC, but when I try to update on the laptop, Spywareguard tries to access the internet through my dial up connection, not the broadband. Spywareblaster performs properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
