    Hello.

A quick question. Better make that two - does anyone still use this? And does it work?

An example - Notepad++. I have it installed, version 5.6.2. Update Notifier shows version 5.5.1 installed and NO available updates. SUMo (the loathed application from Kyle Katarn) shows v5.6.2 installed and an available update to v5.6.4, which is correct. See screenshot. -

    There are more such examples.

    So what gives? o_O

    Merry Christmas everyone santaparty.gif

    Update notifier is down.
    Database is not updated regularly:doubt:
It was my favorite because of its speed and simplicity.

Software update monitor is not suited for novice users.
crowdy appearance. Also it contains a spware.
So if u want to use SUMo, download lite version which is clean.

another useful softwares are CNET techtracker and filehippo update checker. Both are Better than the above 2. filehippo requires net framework 2.
CNET takes some time than all above softwares.

it looks like Sumo is simply better maintained app if it finds that many more updates when compared to the other one

It's a shame but they do appear to have slipped of late :(
It may pick up again so I'll stick with it for the time being if only because there's no showstopping product in this category as yet.
