    Hello,

Oh-oh. I liked Maverick on the desktop, but the netbook edition is a different story altogether. Hence, a very negative review of Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, including basic overview, new theme and style and lots and lots of problems.

    Cheersomeness,

I didn't even bother to install UNR 10.10 after experiencing all the "muttering" on the LiveCD.

If you are brave enough you can try Unity-Compiz at it's PPA.

Screenshots of the new Unity-Compiz are posted here

Hopefully it will be a better experience than Unity-Mutter :thumbd:

I've been using UNR 10.10 for a while now, and it's got it's quirks but overall I like it. I've not had a crash for a long time, maybe that was fixed in recent updates.

Get to the files isn't that difficult, but could have been made more easier.

    Ocky,
I think that's what he was alluding to with his "Don't touch this" phrase. Yes, it appears Mrk has a sense of humor somewheres buried deep down in his tiny soul. A bit of the showman/carnival barker, as well. ;).

    Later...
