    Is the Universal Restore option something you can add after TI9 is in place or should it be installed at the same time? It's a pretty sweet feature, on paper. Any other information would be appreciated.

    Hello PhoenixTekBC,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Acronis Universal Restore technology provides an efficient solution for hardware-independent system restoration by replacing the crucial HAL and hard disk controller drivers.

    Acronis Universal Restore is an optional program feature. It should be purchased separately and installed from a separate .msi setup file. Acronis Universal Restore can only be installed on a computer where one of the following Acronis True Image programs is installed:
    - Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server;
    - Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation;
    - Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows.

    You can find the information on how to use Acronis Universal Restore in Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server User's Guide.

    Thank you.

    If you look on the corporate web page, you'll see UR is an optional extra even for the 9.1 workstation version.

    Is Universal Restore avaiable in BartPE too? I would need it because the Linux-BootCD doesn't recognize my SCSI-Controller..

    Greetings
    Volker

    Hello VolkerNadolski,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Workstation Disk Backup Software.

    Please note that the current version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation does not include Acronis Universal Restore in BartPE plug-in. Probably it will be included in future. We regret to inform you that we cannot tell you the exact time of the future build release.

    You can find non-official Mustang's BartPE plugins for Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation here.

    Please note that if you experience a problem with your hard drive of another storage devices when accessing from rescue mode, please submit a request for technical support. Provide the exact vendor and model of the device you use and we will help you solve the problem.

    Thank you.
