    Hi,

    Is there a special utility to un-install completely Nod 32?

    Thanks

    AFAIK, Marcos usually recommends this as per this thread, post 9.

    Revo is also very good, as long as you only kill the bolded items in advanced mode (make sure you expand the '+' listings).

    Do you have a problem uninstalling EAV? If so, just let me know and I'll send you simple instructions how to remove it completely if uninstall fails.

    I would like to know how to uninstall NOD32 completely. I have it installed on XP SP3 and Vista SP1. The latest version 3 is on the XP laptop and the latest version 4 is on the desktop. I can't get 4 to install on the laptop and would certainly like to know the best way to uninstall 3.

    Hello,

    Steps on removing ESET NOD32 Antivirus from your computer:

    -->Start>All Programs>ESET>ESET NOD32 Antivirus>Uninstall.
    -->Delete the INFCACHE.1 file located in C:\WINDOWS\inf folder.
    -->Restart your computer.
    -->Delete the ESET folder in C:\Program Files, C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET, and
    C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\ESET

    Please note that in order to delete the bolded folders related to ESET above, you must enable the viewing of hidden files and folders:

    Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View>Show hidden files and folders.

    ESET's Knowledgebase article on how to remove EAV/ESS can be found here.

    Regards,

    Mark.

    Than you very much to all of you guys ;)

    No, I do not have any problem un-installing it, but since I am going to try it and have been reading from other vendors that sometimes there are left overs and they suggest to use a proprietary utility to really get the job done, well I thought that maybe Eset had a similar one.

    Just in case :)

    Greetings
