    Using build 613.

When i want to make a new full image the TI7 runs fine until i get to the
"Commit" window then it just sits there doing nothing.

    What i do:
I remove (delete) the old image file (.tib) from my external HD.
I run TI7 and all is well until i get to the commit window then it sits there
forever doing nothing. I cancel the run and shut down the TI7 program.
At which point, i have to delete the program (remove) and re-install it
from scratch (Including both serial numbers, update and original).
Once the re-install is done, i can re-run the program (doing the same as
    before) and it will work.

What am i doing wrong that the program has to be removed and re-installed each timeo_O

Also, i'm still trying to figure out why i need the secure zone (what data
goes there? What are its dependencies? Is it possible to have the F11 key
active, without having the secure zone implemented?

    thank you,

    Hello --

In order to eliminate the problem please download http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedhlp.reg file and run it on your system. Then please reboot the computer and retry using Acronis True Image 7.0.

    Thank you.

It makes sure that the correct registry entry is in place to cause the file to run every time your computer is started!

    beenthereb4,
OK, but what does it do?
I dont run TI on a schedule nor do i want to load any
file (background or not) at startup that is not really needed.

If it sets a scheduled time for TI to run, i dont need it since
i only do full disk imaging when i think its needed. If its
a help file, I sure dont want it running all the time.

    thanks for the feedback,
    savagcl

TI treats all backups (behind the scenes) as if they were scheduled backups, without this service running, you will get the symptoms that you described. I learned this the hard way.

Well, i guess i can live with it. Its no big deal to re-install every time i want
    to do a backup.

Sometimes wonder why every program you buy nowadays, wants to have
something loaded at startup? Seems better to me to only load something
when its needed (and cleanup when its not needed would be a nice feature).

    thanks for the input,
    savagcl
