Just downloaded V4 to upgrade my ESS V3... the website says unistall all security (inc older versions of ESS) before installing V4 but...

windows add/remove doesnt give a "remove" option.

There seems to be no uninstaller in the eset directory

on their site, eset say that running the installer on a machine that already has ess will give the option of removing it... it doesnt, it asks if i want to reinstall and keep the settings, will this be enough?

How do i unistall ESS v3?

just want to do it right!

    thanks for reading,

    Jim

you can download ver 3.0 install it and remove it or risk it, ever so slightly, and install on top in hope ver 4.0 installer will be clever enough to detect previous version

Have always installed right on top, then choose "Keep current settings". Time saver and have never had a failure. :)

If you have a program like CCleaner that has it's own uninstall utility then you can uninstall with that. It worked for me.
