I hope i never need it (doing images of my partitions), but you never know. There are several 'good' recoverey/undelete applications out there. I hear a lot of good things about R-Studio. Important seams to be the efficency of those tools. Suggestions and experiences with this or other related soft (independet of costs) ?

hi, i think a linux livecd with TestDisk and PhotoRec should be able to recover lots of stuff. they've been mentioned a few times recently on some linux news sites. i think Knoppix has them both :)

    i used testdisk here - https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=96021
but, i haven't used the other program. they both work with lots of filesystems though including ntfs :thumb:
