I've been trying to set up an additional partition on my hard drive. I currently have a factory created C: and D: drive. My D drive has 192gb of space on it and l was looking to create a further partition at 90gb. I've gone through the process, my computer has rebooted, but when it runs through the creation script the following error message is returned: "unable to write dick 1 sector 0". It provides Retry, Ignore, ignore All but it wont let me select either so l end up having to reboot. What is going on?

    Hello inkidinknwuk,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

First of all, please download and install the latest build (2089) of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 which is available at the Product Updates section at our web site.

To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

If the problem remains with the latest build then please download the latest version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see if the problem still persists.

If the problem still persists then enable logging by running the Acronis drivers installation package once again, reproduce the problem and collect the c:\snapapi.log file.

Please also create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
