Netgear ProSecure flags that URL as malware. I wonder if my UTM could be blocking the update somehow.

I added the URL to my white list exceptions in my UTM, and it instantly updated on its on. I had suspicion that my gateway could have been the problem, but I couldn't find anywhere in the log files that it was blocking WSA. I just reported the issue to Netgear.

Triple Helix, i'm not sure that was the problem yet. I guess I will find out the next time updates are available by auto update.

Maybe Joe can supply the URL for auto updates or if it is the same one?

It could vary by user and where they downloaded it from, but it will likely be the same download as the normal installer (i.e. the one which ends with wsainstall.exe)

I rolled back one of my machines, and tried updating from an older version of WSA. It updated with no problem so that was most likely the problem. I hope Netgear fixes this issue. I just added the the URL that points to the installer to my Netgear Prosecure UTM whitelist, and that worked for me.

That's definitely not helpful... I'll see what I can do about contacting them.

    Thanks for the help!

No problem Joe! I marked it as incorrectly classified, and sent them a request to change it. I'm not sure if they did. Yeah, that could really hurt your Enterprise version since they may think the problem is with Webroot instead of with Netgear. You could lose business.
