    Hi there!

On this machine there are two setups going somehow for the purpose of Virus checking. It's Norton (The old scanner, was removed but something went wrong during that uninstall.)
I did not know this and I installed NorMAN AV and the norMAN firewall.

Can somebody tell from this HJT-log if and perhaps how to remov Norton completly ?

We hope so, here it is:

    Thanks again!

    Frans

Hi there. After this removal, i still see some things I don't like. not sure about them. Can some soul tell me those are ok?

The real question above this all is "Is Norton totally gone now" but did i take on something else?
When I got to this machine, the firewall (norman) was disabled and I could not tell how. all settings where good. adter fiddling around a bit in the setup that came back OK again, strange. Never seen that with Norman's firewall!

Here's the log and thanks in advance!

    Hi Fraha,

Two leftovers in the registry from NAV:
    O2 - BHO: NAV Helper - {BDF3E430-B101-42AD-A544-FADC6B084872} - (no file)

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {42CDD1BF-3FFB-4238-8AD1-7859DF00B1D6} - (no file)

You can have HijackThis fix those with all other windows closed.

The two you quoted are nVidia related (videocard)

    Regards,

    Pieter
