Unable to install NOD32 v4 or v5

    You're getting error 1705 during driver installation which means: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

    I assume that permissions for the BFE service were altered by malware. Please follow the instructions mentioned in this KB article:

    I followed the steps on the article but I notice that the BFE service was not starting up. I was getting access denied when trying to start it.

    Looking at the logs and searching Online I found that I needed to change the permission on a registry key

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BFE\Parameters\Policy
    Instead of allowing "All Users", I matched the settings from my machine.

    Once I rebooted everything is back to normal.
