    Unable to install: MFC42u.DLL error

    AppName: setup.exe AppVer: 2.70.23.0 ModName: mfc42u.dll
    ModVer: 6.0.8665.0 Offset: 00003c6a

The strange thing is that i tried the trial installaer and it works fine, so i compared the installers, looking for a difference and i noticed that the only changed file is setup.xml. So i tried to replace the trial setup.xml with the regged one and it crashed again. i switch back to the trial setup.xml and the setup works... how can a XML file crash the installer?

    Hello !

Make sure you have no other antivirus softwares installed on your computer (including any old versions of NOD32) . Make sure you have no other anti-malware application/protection running. Reboot after uninstalling any products .

Download a fresh version of NOD32 for your correct operating system
Trial version Full paid version .

Make sure you empty your temporary folders/remove temp files . Goto Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Clean up . Choose to clean your hard drive C , check all the options and press OK

Goto Control Panel-> Add/Remove programs and Uninstall NOD32 (the old version)

    Reboot

Goto C:\Program files and manually delete the folder ESET

Install NOD32 from the file you just downloaded in step 1
    Use Typical settings

Make sure you have stable i-net connection and NOD32 (nodkrn.exe) is allowed to go through your firewall and Update NOD

I solved by deleting the Install folder in ESET/Install
