I've had the beta installed for about 3 weeks now with no problems. Last night I saw a port scan alert popup and it's from another computer on my lan. At that point I was no longer able to access the network shares on that computer. If I disable the firewall then I am able to access those shares again. I have that computer's ip listed in my IDS exclusion list as well. Tech support had me turn off:
    -‘ARP Poisoning attack detection’
    -‘DNS Poisoning attack detection’
    -‘TCP Desynchronization attack detection’
    -‘Reverse TCP Desynchronization attack detection’
under IDS advanced options and that didn't help. When they learned I was on the beta they forwarded me to this forum.

Any thoughts on getting my local computer unblocked again?

If the IP address of the computer was actually listed in the list of addresses excluded from active protection (IDS) in the zone setup, there's no chance that attacks from the IP address would be detected.
