    Canonical's UbuntuOne should be unaffected.

    Megaupload also had terms and conditions to prevent illegal and infringing usage.

    No, as I don't have enough understanding of USA legalities to comprehend it all.

    According to http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2399134,00.asp:

    "proprietary interest" in this case could be a licence, contract-agreement, trademark, copyright or other IP.

    It's not very technical and I think it's worth reading if one can spare the time ... just to get the other side's view.
