Mark Shuttleworth isn't a stupid guy! And Microsoft is still struggling to save the disaster called Windows 8!

Looks like a very tempting piece of hardware. Still in doubt about purchasing though, price is at $775 now (or $700 for the double-edge offer) and it seems, after the initial surge in pledges, interest is lowering. Based on most recent numbers the ratio of pledged $/minute is rapidly declining from over 800 to around 280$/min. link. Such a decline, if continued, would make the 32 million goal not feasable unfortunately.
right now bidding is on 775$ per Ubuntu Edge or 1400$ for 2 Ubuntu Edge http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ubuntu-edge
Its a unique product.... whether it ever gets made, the interest is proof of concept the market is ready for a device like the Ubuntu Edge!
Yeah when I saw the video and the specs I was like a kid at Christmas lol. I'm especially impressed by the screen, all sapphire crystal The lense on the rear camera of my iPhone 5 is sapphire crystal so it's easy to see just how big of a leap it is to use it for the whole screen, very nice. Obviously there's a lot of reasons to get excited about this device and the way the technology it uses will influence the smartphone world, this device marks a new era.
