Mirimir, I am running 14.04 and I don't see anything "15" yet. I just ran sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and there is nothing there that I see. Current image is: linux 3.13.0-49-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 10 20:11:33 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux My update config would show any long term support version being offered.
btw - 15.04 is due out tomorrow, but it is NOT an LTS version. I believe the expected run is only 9 months. I don't have much interest in a non-LTS and I think you'ld have to be on 14.10 for a direct upgrade to 15.04. Maybe 14.04 ----> 14.10 -----> 15.04!! Not sure though. At least that way you would keep your settings without having to start from scratch.
It's the Beta-2 version. 15.04 won't be LTS. Support will last 9 months. I just wanted to try it out on a spare partition and see how it fares. I just like it and am quite impressed. I may stick to it for a while and for fun.
Final is just released. Looks good. It appears they finally fix the blank/black window problem with the NVIDIA driver.
Seems to me the Nouveau driver has been much improved on. As far as video usage is concerned, I can't seem to find any noticeable difference between Nouveau or Nvidia
