Ubuntu 12.10 review - Why so regressive?

    So basically now Ubuntu comes with bloatware? :D

    No, it comes with stuff that used to work and now does not.

    I can believe that. I tried to install it in both VMWare and VirtualBox and could not get it to run on either. Some message about checking battery status and it hangs there indefinitely. 12.04 ran just fine.

    I wonder if its Unity 3d utilising llmvpipe causing the performance issues in Virtualbox as guest, not suffered any other issues virtualising 12.10 though.

    I think it was introduced in 12.04, but there is really useful "disks" utility including, that provides formating, access to smart and setting of power management parameters.
