Strange phenomenon going on here. Trueimage 8 runs backup until it reaches sector 2,965,127 of hard disk 3, upon which it reports that it cannot read data from disk. Now I've run the XP disk surface scan and nothing comes up. I also ran spinrite and it indicated one sector which it recovered. So I run the backup procedure again and trueimage gives the same error. I'm perflunkedo_O

Why would it indicate bad sectors when two programs indicate otherwise? o_O

    Hello XNemesis,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread? This will allow us to investigate the problem thoroughly. Generally, the reason for the error message may be not only problem with file system but with disk surface as well.

    Thank you.
