    Hi everyone
    I have big problem after using TrueImage. I have trail version. I was
    trying to make a image of system partition. I do everything what was
    written on web page step by step. After restart in linux TrueImage
    was making a copy of partition on other hard drive. Good. After
    restart I couldn't start up Windows XP from this partition!! I tried
    everything. I've installed another Windows Xp on other partition,
    and i dont have access for this copped partition. Computer write
    STOPPED when I clicked on "Local Disk F" From partition magic is the
    same. DiskDoctor sad there is CRC problem.

    What I have to do o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O?

    Did you remove the hard drive with the image? Try starting in Safe mode. And if you get it running in Safe mode, immediately backup your documents and data, because you might have to reinstall XP and start afresh.

    If there are documents you want to save, then try booting with a BartPE CD. Do a Google search for it - you will have to get a working computer with a CD burner to make the BartPE cd.

    If the BartPE cd does not give you access to the partition and your documents, then you will have to start from scratch and re-do your drive with the *original* restore CDs that came with the computer.

    I'd say that the original problem was caused by your imaging just the system partition and not the entire disk. If you do not image the entire disk, the MBR is not included in the image.

    If I understand correctly, you have installed a new Win XP in the original partition so you no longer have the original contents. If that's the case, I don't know if there is anything else you can do. If not, you could re-image, but this time include the whole disk.

    Any other suggestions?:cool:

    Hello Janek,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    I'm sorry for the possible misunderstanding, but I'm afraid your explanation is a little unclear to me.

    Could you please collect the following information?

    - Describe the way you created the image in more details;

    - Have you tried to restore this image?

    - What exactly happens when you try to boot from the "imaged" system partition?

    - What exactly do you mean when saying that "you dont have accses to this imaged partition"? Can you browse the contents of this partition in any way?

    - Have you received any error messages? What exact messages? When exactly you received them?

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appeared step-by-step.

    Please also create Acronis Report in the way described below:

    - Download and run Acronis Report Utility;

    - Select the "Create Bootable Floppy" option;

    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the A: drive and proceed with creation of the bootable floppy;

    - Boot the computer having the issue from this diskette and wait for report creation process to finish;

    - Collect the report file from the floppy.

    Submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    So :
    I made the backup using Acrinis True Image. I've red instructions beafour. I made bootable CD or Floppy (I dont remebmer) than NEXT NEXT. I want it to Make image of system partition (Win XP) on other partition on this hard drive.

    Image is OK. Problem is that:

    1. I dont have acces to this imaged partition.
    2. when i restored partition from backup I cant boot it up from this partition.

    I've innsatled on other hadr drive Win Xp. Disk where previously was insatalled Wn is as slave. But : From time to time ~ 2 minutes system freeze for 2 second. When I disconnect drive which I imaged evertything is OK. So there is some problem with this disk.

    I made REPORT from Acronis Report Utility but I cant send it becouse i didnt buy this program. I made it on trial version!!

    hear is the peace of this report.
