We have TrueImage 7 installed onto two Compaq Proliant DL320 G2 servers

On Both servers TrueImage cannot create images either as a scheduled job or running manually. A scheduled image creation failed with error code -

    502 (0x101F6)

Error message is identical on both servers except one server has an additional line to the error code -

"error 33 - unable to create volume snapshot"

Subsquent images attempted to be created appear to hang, no progress or information is displayed just an empty progress bar.

Once the server is in this state - no further images can be created until the server is rebooted, as this server is used 24-7 scheduling reboots are only performed monthly.

Anyone seen these errors before? Do you know if a specific TrueImage service/process can be terminated/restarted to recover TrueImage when it is in this state?

Servers are running 2x80gb ata133 ide drives raid-1 with two partitions

Any reponse would be greatly appreciated.

    Dan

I have seen this with certain versions of Norton Corp Antivirus 8, upgrading the Antivirus did the trick.

Have you tried first stopping other running services, such as a database server?

    Hello Deadmandan --

Please contact Acronis support directly - that problem is known but it requires some profound investigation and some information, which is easier to request via the usual Acronis Support.

P.S. We've worked down the gap and now the average response time is very close to the promised 48 hours...

    Thank you.
