Normally the truecrypt icon in my system tray is blue. I just reinstalled my OS and now it is a yellowish gold color. Has anyone seen this before?

You can change the color back to the old one
Settings > Preferences > Use different taskbar icon..

IIRC version 6 did not have this option.

Thanks for that. I didn't know this was an option. So maybe I accidentally reset it for gold somehow without knowing it? But as long as it works okay, and the altered color is not a sign that something is wrong then I'm okay with it.

Truecrypt installs by default with that option checked.

It has always been blue for me in the past until I just reinstalled.

I noticed that color change few months back not sure when was exactly, and I'm not sure what version I was using prior to the color change, but its definetly one of the new ones that implemented it.

I see. I have been using an older version for sure. I appreciate you explaining that.

It is blue when no containers are mounted. It turns yellow if you mount anything. I like knowing that something is mounted by just checking the tray.

I must have been using a really old version or something because mine always showed blue when I had containers mounted. But that is a pretty good idea to show a different color when mounted. Returnil does that.
