The First scheduled scan with my newly purchased NOD32 found two threats.

    It cleaned this one:
    G:\xp key number\kf141\keyfinder.exe »RAR »officekey.exe - Win32/PSWTool.RAS.A application - was a part of the deleted object

And put this one in quarantine:
    G:\xp key number\kf141\keyfinder.exe »RAR »xpkey.exe - Win32/PSWTool.RAS.A application - was a part of the deleted object

I went to this file and right clicked it and scanned it again with NOD32...results were no threats, no nothing. This folder is empty, there's no executable in it.

The only guide I have on NOD32 is how to install it. I can't find anything on how to interpret what is found/quarantined.

I'm thinking that both were imperfect/incomplete uninstalls.
So, should I just delete it from both the drive and quarantine?

The quarantine folder is in root:\Program Files\Eset\Infected iirc.

OK, that's the quarantine folder which has two things in it:

    C:\Program Files\Eset\infected\TOM4YPBA.NQF
    C:\Program Files\Eset\infected\TOM4YPBA.NQI

    Now what?

Don't go in the folder. Open NOD32 > Click on NOD32 System Tools > And click on Quarantine. If you rightclick on the items in there, you'll have the option to restore it, view details etc.

    Ok.
    Two choices: restore or delete.
Being NOD didn't/couldn't clean it, it was deleted and a copy was put in quarantine.
If I restore it, I'm back to square one.
If I have no use for that file, I just delete it from quarantine..problem gone.
    Correct?

Yes, that's what it was...when I uninstalled it last October.
Now, I've decided to delete it from quarantine and the empty folder it was in.

    Thanks
