I am thinking of getting the above raid card http://www.netcell.com/products_overview.html for use with True Image Server 8.800?

It is a 3 drive system Raid 0 and Raid 1 pci card that requires no external drivers and is plug and play with Windows XP.

I really like Acronis True Image, but would have to be able to do a bare metal restore as I will keep the system and progam files on the Raid array. I would also have a 4th USB backup drive located on a Linksys NSLu2 network storage appliance http://www.netcell.com/products_overview.html hooked up to my network.

Any one had any experience with this setup?

    Many thanks,

    Bill

    Hello Bill,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image Server (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/ATISWin/).

We haven't tested Acronis True Image Server with this card and, furthermore, we cannot guarantee that Acronis software will work properly with it. We may recommend you to get 3ware card for this was tested and approved as the most suitable.

If you already have the card you described and have any problems with it please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears? After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the "OK" button and wait for # prompt to appear. Please insert a diskette into a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands:

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    lspci > mntdir/lspci.txt
    umount mntdir

Send the lspci.txt file from the diskette to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. This will allow us to solve the problem.

    Thank you.
