True Image SBS Convert to vhd is impossible.

We have the latest version Of True Image Echo Server for SBS build 8206 running on SBS 2008 and was going through the restore options and thought we'd try the convert to virtual disk. We dont run VMware or Xen so vhd is our only option.

However when choosing the virtual disk type we get this error

    acronis sbs vhd.png

    Hyper-V does support 64 bit guest OS's

SBS 2008 is a 64 bit only operating system.

Any info on this oversite please

    Hello piscario,

Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products

The current versions of Acronis True Image Echo do not support 64 bit guest operating systems. Please see the article Virtual Machines Supported by Acronis Products for more information. Support of 64 bit guest operating systems will be implemented for the next after Echo version of Acronis True Image.

    Thank you.

    Thanks

Any ETA for the next version of True Image that will include converting a 64-bit OS to vhd for use in Microsoft Hyper-V?

    HI there

I have upgraded to the the latest 8353 version a little while ago and tried to see if this functionality was working and unfortunately it appears to not be updated.

Any ETA on this as it would be very helpful as part of our DR plan.

We have done successful restores to differing hardware using Universal restore but we would like to use this functionallity.

    Piscario,

Have you tried Echo's replacement, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server SBS Edition? This is probably what Oleg was refering to because there probably won't be any future builds for Echo.
