I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this "feature" in TI 9.x. It seems that the verification time of image files larger than approximately 5 GB is incorrectly calculated and displayed by TI. In a recent image backup/verify session, the actual backup process took a little more than 3 hours (230 GB at normal compression) and the task window, once it moved to the "Verifying backup archive" operation said "3 days remaining!" Obviously, that was wrong since the verify completed in just under 4 more hours. The total backup time was on the order of 7.5 hours. My computer has a 250 GB 7200 RPM Maxtor internal, and USB2 high speed external 300 GB 7200 RPM Maxtor One-Touch. RAM is 1 GB, Pentium IV at 2.4 GHz, WinXP Pro, etc. This seems like an issue that Acronis really needs to address, in addition to the problems applying the latest update (2323) which doesn't apply unless you completely uninstall the previous version! Where is teh quality control here? This is a backup product, and it needs to have only the highest standards of implementation.

Such (mis)estimates of remaining time are common with backup programs.
