I just downloaded, paid for, and installed trueimage 8.0 on my Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop, CDRW/DVD+RW drive and attempted to make bootable disks (error message "error burning the cdr/cdrw disk") I got the same message from the trial version. I then tried to create an image to a Maxtor USB2 160 GB external hard drive. It just sits and does nothing. My CDRW/DVD+RW drive works fine in all other applications and the laptop is 4 months old and is totally working, MS WinXP SP2. This is not a confidence builder. Please reply.

How do you install the schedhlp.reg file on windows 98? When I double click I get rejected!

Tried to create a backup to DVD+r disk. It gets to "Commit Pending Operations" box and sits there. No progress bar activity. Main window says "no backup started" at the bottom.

I have Dantz now installed and working fine. I think I need instructions on getting a refund. I really don't have time to troubleshoot a new program that should work. Thanks anyway.

    Hello --

You can do it manually this way :

Please run (Start -> Run...) "regedit.exe" application, go to the following branch

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

and create there the key named "Acronis Scheduler2 Service" with the text value "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedhlp.exe"

Then please reboot your computer and try to use Acronis True Image again.

If it doesn't help please make sure that the changes you have made on the previous step are still present in the registry and also let me know if you have any program protecting your Windows registry from any changes.

    Thank you.
