Hello. I've read mixed reviews of TI 8.0, including the comment that its success is hardware-specific. System here is an Acer Aspire 8000XP DDRb, 1.67GHz AMD Athlon processor, 256MB RAM, motherboard=Via Technologies KM266-8233A. OS=Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2. I want to copy the entire HDD on to DVDs. Total data to copy=3.1GB. There are 2 formatted partitions.

    Thanks in advance,
    John Marsh.

    Hello John,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Acronis True Image should work fine on your computer. Please create the image of the whole disk in order to be sure you will be able to boot the computer after the restoration. You may download free trial version of Acronis True Image from http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/trueimage/ to see how it works on your system.

I recommend that you read the following article concerning burning the image to DVDs:

    Thank you.

    Thanks for the replies.
I'll fish around the forum a little more, & finish checking out Norton Ghost 9, which has a poor reputation I gather.
