I loaded TrueCrypt to my Seagate hard drive with the intention of encrypting the whole drive. It has lots of important files on it.

The process started fine. I then PAUSED the encryption or stopped it somehow and logged off my computer. The instructions seemed to say this was OK.

When I try to go back I get the message:

"The drive or network connection 'TrueCrypt.lnk' referred to is unavailable. Make sure the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available....."

Also if I try to access the Seagate hard drive I get a message saying it has to be formatted, which would result in the loss of all my data.

Would really appreciate help on how to continue encrypting or at least getting my data back off the hard drive.

    Thanks
