Whew boy, that's like asking if KAV is the best AntiVirus, everybody has an opinion. You have listed in your signature, two very good trojan detectors: ewido and KAV. That said, I think TrojanHunter is improving especially with the new trojan analyst Gavin Coe who is adding tons of signatures. But ewido and KAV definitely have outstanding trojan detection so if you are satisfied with them you probably don't need a third detector but that's up to you of course. HTH .. ;)

With Kav , Ewido , and A2 Squared , you are covered . To add another AT for money is not needed . The 3 above pretty much cover it all . Whether it be TH or another one , it should not make a difference . Save your money . Keep what you have .

I'm asking seriously and not polemically: What is this opinion based on?

    Hi Nameless .
Best I can tell , it looks like it is because they are going to subscription . Not a good excuse but , that is what it seems

I wondered that, but then the statement should have been "there are cheaper ones" or something like that. Whatever.

I see Ewido mentioned alot here. Well I am thinking it is because they have a trial, which by the way not many normal home users actualy try to download
    nasties to evaluate.
You won't find freebie users posting much on BoClean. ;)
It does make a difference if there is a trial. I for one have tired many - many products and would not spend a dime on them. The reason I did pay for BoClean is because I actualy did try it against nasties and also respect Kevin and his teachings.
Products I have paid for include, DCS, Boclean, And Jasons software.
Honornable mention includes, KAV, NOD, DrWEb, Kerio, and some free tools by
Pepi and Javacool. I would however pay for VMWare if it were cheaper LOL
