Note: If you have Trojan Hunter 5.2 installed be sure to uninstall that version before installing this version which is 5.3 as it leaves the 5.2 folder with all the old files in C:\Program Files

Got it. Did uninstall, reboot and clean install. Copied my key to the TH program file for 5.3, deleted the remnants in the/and the 5.2 folder and initial tests all running smooth.

Really happy to get this release out there :) And no rest, just started working on TrojanHunter 6.0 today. There'll be a lot of significant improvements in the next version series...

In order to avoid uninstall/reinstall hassle, I'll stick with 5.2 till 6.0 is out. *puppy*

The two big things will be improved rootkit detection and removal and also a unique new technique with regards to removing trojans.

I'm going to try to explain it in non-technical terms: Imagine that your body gets invaded by a virus. The immune system will then get rid of the virus and also manufacture antibodies so that if it ever encounters the same virus again in the future, it can quickly kill it before it gets a hold in the body again.

The new removal engine will work the same way, and this will help prevent stubborn trojans reinfecting the system. It will adapt to the way the trojan works and prevent it from being reinstalled once it has been removed by TrojanHunter.

Thanks Magnus, maybe you provide some more technical details though
