    Hello

My apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Microsoft Securiry Essentials picked this up on my XP SP3 system (fully patched) and successfully removed it.

I've checked several AV vendors' websites but found no details on it.

Anyone know what it is and its effects?

I will point out that I am an MCP and work in a tech support role so you can be as technical as you like!

MSE found nothing on a second pass and Prevx gave the system a clean bill of health so hopefully the pox has now gone.

I've changed the passwords on my bank, credit cards etc just in case.

New member here. Running Windows 7 Pro with MSE and Comodo Firewall.

I did a scan with MSE and discovered the same trojan and removed it with MSE. Running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as we speak, to make sure there are no more problems.

Like the OP in this thread, I'm worried about what this trojan could have done. I used the computer to log into my school account (main reason I'm worried).

    If you are concerned :
    - disable automatic protection temporary
    - get the malware out of quarantine ,
    - upload the sample to VirusTotal.com
    - give us a link of the results or tell us how most other big names call this malware
    - re-enable protection

I've a problem with my Hotmail account. It's sending out emails to everyone in my address book with links to various other sites. I ran Windows Live OneCare and it said I had two issues that could not be fixed. One of the problems was called "Java/Rowindal.A". I've run checks with Avast and Malwarebytes and they've not detected anything at all. I'm pretty sure the problem is still there though. I am rubbish with computers and don't really know what I am doing!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
