Hi guys i could use some help please. I'm new to this forum and im in need of help with a Trojan Virus. I'm using AVG Free Edition on my computer and whenever i go to open Internet explorer it will open up on "about:blank" rather than my previous Home Page, then i get a message pop up from AVG saying "VIRUS DETECTED! while opening file:
    C:\DOCUME~1\MIKE~1.ROU\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll
    Trojan horse Startpage.GX
so it has the following options: Continue/Info/Heal/Delete File/Move to Vault. So i've tried Heal Delete and MTV but nothing works it keeps coming back, i'm not sure if it is doing any damage to my files or if it corrupting some of my stuff but does any one have any advice on how to remove this irritable virus?

P:S Would some-one be able to let me know where i can get a free spyware/adware remover? Thanks for any comments

Although Wilders no longer supplys hijack cleaning services, u might want to post a HijackThis log over at this site here for analysis,

I had this problem some time back. So long ago, though, that I cannot remember the fix!
They should call this bug "Arnie" though because it is most definately BACK..

I picked up the Smitfraud trojan-spy yesterday and after wading through the requests and responses on a different thread in this forum, I managed to get rid of it. But the "about:blank" home page persists.... Is there a patch or some such thing I can download to get my home page back??
