trojan horse downloader.dyfica.bc

Used Adaware, not experiencing any problems, but AVG keeps telling me I have trojan horse downloader.dyfica.bc in system volume information folder. Can't be removed by AVG.

Restart PC in safe mode : Here's How and remove :

C:\WINDOWS\7fe8d.exe

Clean temp internet files

Restart again in normal mode

Then tell us if AVG comes up clean, if not give the exact complete location where avg finds it.

Hi unzy,

Cheers for your advice. I did all the things you recommended but upon restarting, AVG comes up a few minutes later saying problem still there.

Gives location as C:\system volume information\_restore{3895BC80-2BCD-456E-96E2-43255B794585}\RP90\A0007633.ocx then says to remove, run AVG for windows. When I run AVG, there is nothing picked up during test.

Any further advice?

Disable system restore, do a fresh restart of your PC and enable system restore again : Here's How

That should do it.
