Have not tried others really, but have read some complaints. This one really works well. Gave it try after someone told me (can't recal whome) that he/she had simulare (lean setup) but had added Browser Guard, so I gave a try. Could not find a lot about its protection (besides vaporware text). Then I found a malware link from a site (thx ;) ) and could check that it actually worked.

It overlaps with EMET-2, but works from a different angle, since some vendors say these attacks will be seen (again) more often. I will keep it for a while.

One major side-down, though. Only works with IE. Otherwise, it could really be the only valid alternative to LinkScanner, that I know of. (For IE, I guess it can be considered such, except for a few less features.)

I'm in the process of getting a new hard disk for virtual machines, and when I can I'll test it.

I may reinstall LinkScanner in my own system, along side my super-tight Chromium. :D

Whenever I can I'll make a LinkScanner vs BrowserGuard. :D

There should be some tests done with these types of products instead of everyone just testing AV's over & over again.

Link scanner is multi purpose bad URL protection. It included some techniques which Browser Guard also uses. BG protection focus is quite narrow. So a test should be well crafted with knowledge of what the selected malware samples do.

Most you tube testers only know the URL of a malware domain and are able to copy/paste and hit run. After having tried 15 samples they run hitman and MBAM to check for remnants, make some deep and meaningfull remarks and rollback the VM used for testing. This requires a bit more knowledge.

Would be fun when you all ask Languy to do a special purpose test of BrowserGuard. :D

Not interested in such a limited IE/x32-only software.
