:D Hi, I tried it recently .... it is InterMute's SpySubtract which has been purchased by Trend Micro.

All kinds of F/P's .... Hotbar or Huntbar included .... also detected an uninstaller for one of my other legitimate programs as malware. o_O

Also something called J. Marshal in 84 locations (within the registry). :(

It even reported msconfig (I made a change earlier in my startup programs & had not yet rebooted) as CoolWebSearch !!!

Needless to say I did NOT delete ANYTHING & removed it from my PC immediately.

It looks like Trend Micro have their work cut out for themselves.

    HR

Trying to get rid of huntbar, IBIS, IEPlugin on customer machine. was hoping this thread would have some intel.. used about a dozen different tools which claim to erradicate them, but they re-appear on each reboot.. cannot change permission of reg keys and do not have access to folders for manual delete of these.. man are they pesty..

Trialled it a few months ago when it was released officially, nothing special in my opinion the other better options is to use Spy Sweeper 4.0 coupled with Spyware Blaster and Spybot Search & Destroy.
