    Hi,

    I have two related issues

    1) are backups made with the 'trial version' of Acronis True Image 9.0 readable by the retail version of the program?

    2) I have a number of Acronis TI 9.0 backups on an external USB drive and wish to transfer them to a new computer? Is that possible - I have the impression that it may not be.

Sorry for the newbieness of the questions.

    many thanks

    M

    1-) Yes
2-) Not sure what you mean. If you just want to copy the .tib files, that can be done just as with any other file.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

As for my question 2 what I would like to be able to do is to extract selected files/directories from the Acronis TI .tib files to the new machine's hard disk.

Sorry about the lack of clarity

    Thanks

As long as the new box has access to the .tib files, you should be able to mount the image (assuming it was a disk/partition backup) and then drag and drop. Of course TI will have to be on the new PC in order to mount the image.
