Running PHDM 2010 on Vista SP2 machine.
Have c,d,e drives [C: is primary, D&E are data only].
    Fast Defragged E OK.
    Tried same method with D.
Total Defrag says it needed to do reboot to complete the defrag.
Rebooted to what looks like a DOS based screen.
About 75% through the defrag it locked up/froze.
PC will not accept Ctrl C or esc keys.
Now 4 hours later I still have a locked screen.
Total Defrag warns not to turn off PC as loss of data can result.

Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?
    cheers

Do not interrupt the operation. Sometimes it requires long time to complete defragmentation.
Interrupting may lead to data loss.

emmsee.....I ditched this product for the same reason, and also when it did eventually run, it took nearly 4 hours to complete.
