TOS

I plan to change the TOS or Rules of the IPB forum where I administrate, see here. The current rules can be found here. What do you advise I include.

I'd start by banning all Ducks & Seagulls.

 

Learn to spell decisions.......nothing looks shabbier than official documentation with errors in it.

The original rules were copied from another forum by someone else before I arrived.

Any sensible advice?

Very good idea, however I don't know how much of the forum population we would loose through introducing that rule

The TOS of a forum must be serious and strict or else all the members will get out of control.

Try this:
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.

Jimbob, I have to make a few comments about your forum's TOS.
1) It does not seem serious or strict enough.
2) Does not seem detailed enough.
3) Please re-do your TOS, I think it can be better than this.
