Though far from my top 10 favourite songs, I'm embarassed to admit that one of Britney's Spear's song kind of well.. I like it.

You will need a couple of horses to drag the song title out of my mouth though.

What else, well I'm afraid my taste in music isn't that refined.

I like stuff by Celine Dion, LeAnn Rhimes , I like movie songtracks (Dirty dancing, Flashdance, Cyoyte ugly, Armegdon, Peral habour) etc etc/

Oldies, well I like anything by Airsupply, Chiacgo, Some of the divas (Whitney, Mairah) , some of the slower numbers by Madadona ( This used to be my playground for example)

And that stupid song from Evanescene (Wake me up inside?) keeps playing in my mind, cos the stupid adverts were using them a few months back.

Okay I'll stop embarassing myself now :)

When a man loves a woman by Percy Sledge,

Whiter shade of pale by Procol Harum. :D

When i hear these songs i have memories of high school dances and shy young ladies from my youth in the late sixties and early seventies.

Man, they don't make music like that anymore. ;)

    http://www.vex.net/~paulmac/carpenter/lyrics/weve_only_just_begun.html We've Only Just Begun
    Paul Williams and Roger Nichols

We've only just begun to live,
    White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way.
    And yes, We've just begun.

Before the rising sun we fly,
    So many roads to choose
We start our walking and learn to run.
    And yes, We've just begun.

Sharing horizons that are new to us,
Watching the signs along the way,
Talking it over just the two of us,
    Working together day to day
    Together.

And when the evening comes we smile,
    So much of life ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to grow,
    And yes, We've just begun

Ahhhhh, there indeed is a great piece of music. Actually, I like all of his Brandenburg Concertos but number 3 is also probably my favorite. I also like his Toccata and Fugue in D-minor.

The song that really does it for me and really gets me where I live is:-

    "My Home Town"

Just a couple of verses and you will understand what I mean.

"And just to see once more,
The girl who lived next door,
And how she looked in her first evening Gown,
Now there's a charge for what she used to give for free,
    In my Home Town.

Then there's the guy who took his knife,
    And monogrammed his wife,
Then threw her in the Creek,
    And watched her drown,

    They're just ordinary simple,
    Kind of folk,
    In My home Town.

There is a lot more but the nostalgia brings a tear to my eye. Ahhhhh! such romantic memories.

They don't make songs like that anymore. :'(

Glad to have been able to contribute, Cochise,

Power of Love by Jennifer Rush. My most cherished song was when hubby tried bravely to sing to me a love song as he presented me with a replacement new diamond wedding band on Christmas Day.
