That option in the GUI is for starting TF with Windows i.e TF will be ON with Windows.
If you disable that option i.e uncheck it, then too TF starts with Windows but OFF.

The only way is msconfig-startup entry uncheck so that it doesn't start with windows. But I dont know if msconfig-startup entry is required or not for proper functioning of TF.

As I type this with TF's tray icon visible, but the program is "OFF" (no virtualization) the process that starts with Windows by default is running at 888kb, with no CPU usage or disc i/o. What is there to gain from killing it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Why risk a chance that the end user knows more about the program than the devs? If it took 25-100MB of RAM I would understand your wanting to kill it until you manually launch it, but come on now......... 888kb

Narenbisht, I haven't used TTF for about two years and the GUI looks differently now than it did then but I believe that if you untick that option, TTF should not start with Windows and you should not see the TTF icon by the clock.

Also, look at the picture on numeral 5. "On the Optional Settings page", there you see the option to "Enable Time Freeze on your system partion (C) every time, if you want Time Freeze to run to protect your PC all the time, from PC's startup to its shutdown".

I just wanted to know if disabling autostart affects any functionality.
Its good to know about the software, right?

The default setting of TF is that it starts with windows, but without virtualization. The tray icon runs, and nothing else. The option in the settings to "Enable Time Freeze Automatically When Windows Starts" is the option to have virtualization start each time with windows.

    I know that.
The thing is, I like "Show Desktop Toolbar" as it makes me not to forget I am under TF.
So I enable "Show Desktop Toolbar" & hide tray icon.
But with "Show Desktop Toolbar" enable & TF autostart, though TF starts without virtualization but the toolbar appears with TF OFF.
I wish there was an option to show the desktop toolbar only when virtualization is ON.
Disabling msconfig-startup entry solves my prob but I dont know if it affects any functionality so I asked here.

UPDATE- I unchecked the msconfig-startup entry, restarted the system, & installed couple softwares under TF & restarted the system & everything was cleared so I guess autostart TF is not required for proper functioning.

I run without the desk top nag screen, and use the tray icon. It's red for off and blue for when it's on (virtualization is enabled).

    I didn't know this.
    Thanxx for the info.
This could make me keep the autostart entry enabled.

I will search their forum for the autostart entry.
UPDATE- Checked their forum, no info about this.

How do I exclude Windows Updates & Bitdefender Antivirus Free Updates?
What all to add under exclusion?

UPDATE- Asked about this & startup entry in their forum.

I'm not sure about the exclusions as I don't run any real time AV that needs updates and I set Windows Updates to manual.

Because I didn't experience any problems with 2.2.0.3500 so far.
