I've just installed Trend Micro Internet Security 2008.

I have been previously using Avira AntiVir Free, and like its high detection rate.

Can I use Avira AntiVir Free as a on demand anti-virus, in addition to Trend Micro Internet Security 2008? During the installation, it required me to uninstall Spywareblaster and other anti-spyware/anti-malware.

Why do u want to use 2 AV products at same time use some Anti Spywares like Spybot or SAS they won't conflict with TMIS 08
I use spybot with my NIS 09

two antivirus programs will conflict with each other.
    You only need one anyway.
If you are looking for another protection from spyware purchase Superantispyware Pro. It runs in real time and plays very nice with all antivirus programs. You just need to make sure they do not do scans at the exact time. or you will have big problems.

If you send me a private message I can send you a link to get superantispwyare pro at a reduced price with lifetime updates/upgrades. It is not a hacked version it is the real thing and you purchase it on their site.

I will not put it in here- btw this is not the free version this is the pro version- private message me and I will give it to you that way.

You cannot google it because it is set up solely for me.
If you want the free version you can pick it up at www.superantispyware.com

I think so. I did it a while back but can't remember what other AV I paired it with. Do a custom install of Avira without the guard. Leave "shell extension" checked so you can right click scan any file.

Agree here. Disable Trend realtime protection when scanning the whole hard drive.
