Had a situation where TI9 would lock the computer up at some random point during the disk imaging process. I tried disabling various apps to see if I could narrow the problem down, but with no success. Frustrating.

However, good news. On a whim I turned off the overclocking in the bios and yippee. Problem gone! So I'm now looking to replace a couple of RAM sticks with a more robust pair to see if I can't have my cake and eat it too, so to speak.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else had been suffering from random lockups.

Cheers, and g'day to all. :)

    Hi Kiwi52,

Glad you managed to get it sorted. Image corruption due to overclocking, timing errors or faulty RAM is not an uncommon problem, as hinted in this <previous post> of mine. If you haven't already done so, download a copy of Memtest86+ from the link I provided. It'll come in handy for any future overclocking experiments you may be considering ;).

    Regards

I wonder how many other 'problems' are caused by PCs being overclocked and not correctly configured? o_O ;)
