TI7 & Maxtor 5000 XT Drive

    System: WinXP Home SP2 with external maxtor 5000xt drive via firewire

    When I run TI7 from within Windows, I am able to recognize and back up to my external drive.

    When I boot from the Recovery disk, the external drive isn't recognized, so I am unable to restore from the backup.

    Is this a general problem with TI7 not recognizing external drives, a problem with Firewire, or something else?

    And how do I fix this problem?

    Change to the USB connection to restore.
