how can I use the new feature "Auto backup based on destination availability"? I can't find any menu to use or configure this feature.
I'm using the German Free Trial Version Build 9.608.

Has nobody tested this funktion yet? Or is it not implemented in the trial version?

Looking through the manual doesn't seem to provide much. In fact, that feature isn't even listed in the New in Acronis True Image Home 2009 section (Section 1.2).

    From the website:
From the manual (Section 4.1 - Acronis One-Click Protection, page 25):
This feature may only apply to using the One-Click Protection feature.

Confirmed...? I'm testing it right now... But would like to know if it's been answered already.

Besides removable drive, will it work for network drives as well...? I don't have network drive to test...

    Cheers.

I don't seem to be able to get this feature working.

Anyway, I'm switching to another method - To put an autorun.inf on the removable drive instead.

Hello HomerJS, MudCrab, loyukfai and everyone interested,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

The feature to back up automatically when destination is available applies to One-Click Protection for USB, firewire and eSATA drives; and to regular scheduled backups to USB flash drives. As described in chapter 8.1 "Creating scheduled tasks" of Acronis True Image Home 2009 User's Guide:
If you encounter problems with that feature, please make sure you use the latest build (9615) of Acronis True Image Home 2009. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

If the issue persists with the latest build, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post with the drive where you choose to save archive to connected and powered on.

Please clarify the exact vendor and device names of the drive in question.

Please also clarify the setup of scheduled task.

Then submit a request for technical support or use our Live Chat service. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will do our best to investigate the problem and provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
